Repairable
Star break
A chip with short legs radiating out from the impact point. Repairable while those legs stay contained and don't reach the edge of the glass. The window closes as soon as they lengthen.
Should be assessed within days, not weeks.
Long crack
Once damage runs past roughly six inches, resin cannot bridge the full span under driving load. Temperature swings and body flex will keep opening it. A repair here buys weeks, not years.
We'll quote a replacement rather than sell you a repair.
Edge & stress crack
Damage within about two inches of the frame, or a crack with no impact point at all. These move with the body of the car and almost never stop travelling on their own.

Chip & Crack Repair
Vacuum-and-resin restoration for damage that still qualifies. The goal is structural strength first and clarity second — a repaired windshield should be as strong as it was before the strike.

Full Windshield Replacement
When the damage has gone past saving, the windshield gets replaced properly — correct glass, new moulding and sealant, and recalibration where your vehicle's driver-assistance system requires it.

Not reused. A windshield is only as watertight as the seal around it.
